My Senior Recital
The Senior Recital This is my senior recital, which took place on February 9th, 2022 in Bloomington, IN, at the Jacobs School of Music, where I showcased and premiered that I believe to be the best of what I have composed while in college. Pieces (in order): "Side 1" from Hullabaloo for solo cello Stretch for brass quintet Forgot My Umbrella for chamber quintet (premiere) London Sketches for reed quintet (premiere) "Movement 3" from Outer Limits: a saxophone concerto for saxophone and sinfonietta I dedicate this concert to all of the people who made this concert (and my degree) possible. First of all, I wouldn’t be where I am today without the love and support from my parents, my girlfriend Lizzie DeSantis, and my family who have encouraged me and kept me focused. Second, I am eternally grateful for all of my teachers I have had over the years; Dawson Hull, Skip Quinn, Michael Parsons, Professor Don Freund, Professor Claude Baker, Professor Aaron Travers, Professor Sky Macklay, Professor P. Q. Phan, Professor Andrew Mead, and Professor David Dzubay, who have all guided me and shaped who I am as a musician today. Finally, I am truly in debt to all of my friends and musicians, both onstage, offstage, and elsewhere who have been the reason I can continue to write music. You all keep me inspired and I am so thankful for you.
