"The Aberrant Shamus" follows the peculiar case of Detective Xander and his hunt for the truth.

This film was made possible through the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Double Exposure Program which pairs filmmakers and composers to create an original film with original music. "The Aberrant Shamus" was Brandon Witten's Senior Year film at IU and I was lucky enough to be the one to write the score for it. The project began in late October of 2018 and was finally premiered live at the Double Exposure Film Festival March 3rd, 2019. Afterwards, I had the pleasure to work with Stefan Wiebe, sound designer extraordinaire and fellow student. The ensemble was a modified Pierrot Ensemble, comprised of Flute, Clarinet/Bass Clarinet, Violin, Cello, Harp, Vibraphone, and Misc. Percussion. It was an amazing opportunity to work with so many talented people and to have such a wonderful outcome!
